Grand Challenge Open Research Project
Research Lead: Minoru Asada, Specially Appointed Professor, Institute for Open and Transdisciplinary Research Initiatives, Osaka University
In "Grand Challenge Open Research Project", we recruit young researchers from around the world for research topics related to the four Research Projects for Creating the Future implemented in this initiative ("Health Preservation/Preventive Medical Care Project", "Health and Sports Project", "Future School Support Project", and "Symbiotic Intelligent Systems Project"), or related to using PLR information collected in the “Information System Infrastructure Project”.
In order to support advanced research, we provide each accepted (potentially multi-year) research project with a total budget of up to 10 million JPY per project.
